Machine washable AND free of toxic dyes and chemicals, need I say more???! But seriously, Lorena Canals natural rugs are a moms dream come true!! I had never heard of a machine-washable rug before, and as a mom of a newly crawling baby, I was super intrigued! I first stumbled upon Lorena Canals Rugs on Instagram and was instantly drawn to the appealing patterns and neutral colors. I really love that the rugs are adult friendly aesthetically, but not too “adult” for a child’s room or nursery.

I opted for this gorgeous beige and black area rug called the “Bereber Beige.” View it here! They also have a smaller runner version, which is awesome. Lorena Canals Rugs are Eco-friendly: which means they use Non-toxic dyes and 100% natural cotton. For me, this was a huge selling point. Lorena Canals Rugs meet all the safety and quality standards for kids. (Another huge plus) The rug has all certificates wanted: ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001 and AITEX. Lorena Canals is an environmentally responsible company, which we need more of!! A true but gross story, Sterling had a massive diaper explosion one week after we added the rug to the room…she of course, without fail, got poop on the rug. (Insert facepalm emoji here) At first, I freaked out in my head, with my first thought being “oh crap how am I going to get that out?!?!” I quickly felt a sense of relief when I remembered Lorena Canals rugs are machine-washable!! Let me say it again for those in the back, MACHINE-WASHABLE!!! The fact that I can throw it in the washing machine without worrying, has been a lifesaver for us! I feel better about being able to clean it regularly, poop or not. Lol. My slightly germaphobic self is doing a happy dance right now!

After doing more research I learned I’m not the only mom who loves Lorena Canals rugs, and that they’re loved by quite a few celebrities too! Another fun fact is that they were picked by Vogue as a top baby product for nurseries!! How cool, right? Not only are they fashionable and trendy, they are a charitable company too! Lorena Canals donates a portion of every rug sold to support the Sakula project, which provides schooling for children in India. LOVE! Sterling loves playing on her new rug, and I’m happy knowing she’s playing in a clean area. BTW this picture cracks me up because she loves playing with those bowls, instead of all her “real” toys. ha! Overall I am very pleased with our Lorena Canals rug, and would recommend one to anyone with kids or pets! They have some really cute patterns and fun designs. Here are some of my favorites!
